Location and Access

Cenote Xkeken is about a 15 minute drive outside of Valladolid, in a town called Dzitnup (7km south of Valladolid on Highway 180. If you are driving yourself no worries, the access roads are all paved and well maintained with plenty of free parking. You can catch a taxi for around 200 MXN from Valladolid.

  • Entrance fee is $226 MXN per person as of Aug 24, 2023. Includes access to Cenote Xkeken, Cenote Samula and lifejacket.
  • The cenote is 95% covered with just a small opening at the top.
  • The hours of operation can vary but are usually 9 am until 7 pm. Hours will be different depending on the time of the year.
  • There are changing rooms and bathrooms located at the entrance.
  • The walkways are paved with stone in the entire complex, making it accessible to wheelchairs.
