   2. Visit Cenote Oxman tip: Opt for routes 285 South or 180 West from Valladolid for smoother roads, as the alternate route via Calle 54 can be bumpy. The cenote is located down a short but rough road from the entrance.

   3. Bike: For a more adventurous approach, consider a bicycle ride from Valladolid, which takes approximately 40 minutes to reach Cenote Oxman.

   4. Taxi: Another viable option is taking a taxi, especially given the close proximity to Valladolid. The fare for the journey should cost around $100 pesos, but keep in mind that the return trip will incur double the cost.

2. Cenote Oxman Ticket Costs

   1. Cenote Oxman offers three ticket options:

• Option 1: Entrance to the cenote is priced at $150 pesos (as of July 4, 2023).

• Option 2: For $300 pesos, this ticket includes a $200 pesos credit for the restaurant.

• Cenote Oxman tip: The food at Cenote Oxman is highly recommended (we personally enjoyed the tacos and Margaritas!), so opting for the ticket with food and drinks credit is a great choice if you plan to spend some time there.

• All tickets include access to the cenote and use of the swimming pool. While parking is free, it’s customary to tip the car park attendant.

• It is advisable to carry cash, preferably Mexican pesos, as credit card acceptance may not be available at the ticket booth.

   1. Cenote Oxman welcomes visitors from 10 am to 5 pm daily.

4. Recommended Duration

   1. To avoid crowds, we recommend visiting Cenote Oxman in the morning upon opening, as this is typically the least busy period.

   1. Showers: It is mandatory to take a shower before entering the cenote waters.

   2. Sunscreen/Mosquito Repellent: To preserve the water’s quality, wearing sunscreen or mosquito repellent is not permitted before entering the water. Showers are available for use before entering the cenote.

   3. Food and Drinks: Consumption of food and drinks is restricted beyond the top of the stairwell leading down to the cenote.

   4. Diving/Jumping: Jumping into the cenote is allowed and encouraged, while diving is prohibited.

   5. Drones: Unlike many other cenotes, Cenote San Lorenzo Oxman permits the use of drones. However, it is advisable to consult with the management beforehand, as there may be specific guidelines and potential charges.
